Official Transcript Information

Applicants to KPU are required to submit transcripts for all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended.
If there are any documents outstanding on your application checklist, we are unable to proceed with your evaluation. Make sure you submit all your documents as soon as possible!

HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS

Currently Attending High School

WITHIN CANADA OUTSIDE CANADA

BC high school applicants: Students must complete the online Post-Secondary Institutions (PSI) Selections form by May 1 of their graduating year, and KPU will automatically receive interim and final transcripts electronically from the Ministry of Education in May and July.

If you are a BC high school student applying to a limited intake program, please submit the PDF icon Self-Reporting Form no later than March 1.

Other province applicants: Official transcripts must be mailed directly to KPU Admissions by the issuing bodies listed on the Canadian Equivalencies page. Interim transcripts must be submitted by March 1 showing final grades for courses completed, as well as interim grades for courses in progress. Final transcripts must be submitted no later than August 1.

Please be aware limited intake programs require all interim grades and testing results to be received by March 1 in order to be used for admission purposes.

High School Graduate

WITHIN CANADA OUTSIDE CANADA

BC high school graduates: Official high school transcripts can be requested through the BC Ministry of Education. Visit www.bced.gov.bc.ca/transcript to download a copy of the order form.
Other province graduates: Official transcripts must be sent directly by the issuing bodies listed on the Canadian Equivalencies page.
Alternatively, Canadian high school graduates may submit high school transcript in-person at any KPU campus. Official transcripts must be in a sealed school envelope bearing an official stamp or seal of the issuing body or they will be deemed unofficial.

Students who are upgrading high school courses must submit a final transcript upon completion of the new course. Please be aware limited intake programs require all final grades to be received by March 1 in order to be used for admission purposes.

Official transcripts are detailed statements of completed courses and corresponding grades. A graduation statement is also required on the credential when applicable (notarized copies are not accepted by KPU). If English is not the primary language in your country, additional English proficiency testing will be required.

POST-SECONDARY TRANSCRIPTS

Official post-secondary transcripts must be sent to KPU directly from the issuing institution. KPU does not accept post-secondary transcripts submitted by the student.

Currently Attending College/University

Please order an official transcript to be sent to KPU directly from your college/university, showing final grades for all coursework completed to date as well as a list of the courses you are currently registered in even though grades are not yet available. Normally, transcripts requested after the start of a new semester should contain all of this information but please check with your current institution to confirm. You must also send another transcript once final grades for courses in progress are available. Applicants are required to submit official transcripts for all post-secondary institutions attended.

All documents submitted to KPU become the property of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Applicants who do not attend and wish to re-apply later may be required to submit a new set of documents.
