Journalism Schools Compared: KPU, UBC, BCIT, Langara

Comparing KPU’s Bachelor of Journalism to other programs

KPU is the only journalism school in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley to offer a Bachelor's degree. Students can apply to KPU mid-career, mid-life, or right out of high school.

KPU offers many other degrees, in disciplines from Asian Studies to Criminology. So if you’re not sure journalism is for you — or decide later that it isn’t — you can switch majors without switching schools.

And, if you have taken courses at another recognized journalism school, and want to switch to KPU's Bachelor of Journalism program, those courses will be applied towards your degree (with possible exceptions).
