International Mother Language Day has been observed annually since February 2000 to promote linguistic diversity and multilingualism. Language is the most powerful instrument of preserving our cultural heritage and identity, and IMLD commemorates the important role that language diversity plays in our lives and communities. KPU's Department of Language and Cultures will present performances of traditional music and artistic presentations to celebrate all the languages and cultures in the Lower Mainland and especially in the KPU community. Join us for the fun and to cherish your own mother tongue!
