Summer Bursary

APPLICATION OPENS APRIL 20

Students who are eligible for a bursary will be notified by email by July 15, 2024, followed by a cheque in the mail. Please ensure your mailing address is kept up-to-date. Non-recipients will also be notified by email. Email correspondence will be sent to your KPU student email account only.

KPU, together with donors, has established a bursary for full-time undergraduate students demonstrating high financial need. Bursary amounts are determined by student financial need, the number of eligible applicants, program of study, and other factors.

You will only be considered for the KPU Summer Bursary if you can demonstrate high financial need and meet specific eligibility requirements. For this reason, the Budget Worksheet and Assets portion of the online application must be submitted with your application.

To be considered for bursary funding, in addition to showing high financial need, eligible students must be enrolled in full-time studies, typically a minimum of *9 undergraduate credits (*1100 level courses or higher) for the current term or, a minimum of 6 credits for students with a permanent disability (PD) as verified by StudentAid BC. Continuing and returning students must also maintain a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.0.

Students attending Trades programs are generally considered to be attending on a full-time basis.

International students are not eligible for bursaries or awards that specify financial need as a criteria.
