Alumni Testimonials

Trevor Zechel | Head Brewer & Brewery Manager
The Noble Pig Brewhouse | thenoblepig.ca
2016 graduate

“My success story is the best endorsement I can give about the Brewing & Brewery Operations Diploma program at KPU. They took someone like me, who knew nothing about brewing, and in two years turned me into a capable and confident brewer. I was comfortable enough with the skills and knowledge I learned to take over as the sole brewer and brewery manager of a busy brewpub, The Noble Pig in Kamloops. I was hired before I even finished school!”

Tony Charrett | Brewer
Parallel 49 Brewing Company | parallel49brewing.com
2016 graduate

“The KPU Brewing program taught me the critical thinking tools I needed to thrive at Parallel 49. The courses and instructors gave me the insight into how a professional brewery operates and what it will take to turn my passion into my own business someday.”

Dan Marriette | Brewer
Ravens Brewing | ravensbrewing.beer
2016 graduate

“This program opened my eyes to how technical brewing can actually be. I wouldn't be where I am today at Ravens Brewing, if I hadn't gotten my Brewing diploma at KPU. It's getting more competitive as the whole craft beer industry continues to grow, and having a formal brewing education is a huge advantage.”
