Joan McEachern

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan (1985), and a Master’s Degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University (1992). I joined the faculty of Economics at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in the fall of 1996. My teaching areas include first year Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Intermediate Microeconomics. Areas of interest include macroeconomics and finance.

I enjoy trail running, biking and cooking. My main passion is soccer having been involved in the game as a player and a coach. I played on the Canadian National Women’s Team from 1987 until 1995 cumulating my 33-cap career with a spot on the 1995 World Cup Team. I am currently an assistant coach for the Kwantlen Eagles women’s soccer team.
