Start date: September, January and April

Description

The AutoCAD Training Centre (ATC) provides one of the top training packages for AutoCAD, and has continually provided specialized courses for those people who need to use AutoCAD for their Drafting and Design work. The program is a paced, well-planned introduction to the efficient use of Computer Aided Drafting and Design: (CADD).

Industry has found that there is generally a three-month learning curve to become proficient with use of AutoCAD. That means for these 3 months you will not be as productive as using a manual drafting technique. After the 3 months you should be more efficient with CADD. Our AutoCAD Mastery course is geared to take you over this learning curve. With over 200 hours of in-class use of the software with guidance and resources that can answer your particular questions. Try it out in the CADD-lab and at your office.

Our instructors have attained Certified Instructor status with Autodesk Inc. and maintain this status with upgrade training every year. With real-world experience, and an ongoing daily use of AutoCAD for real design problems, we can provide excellence in education. Specializing in 2D, 3D, and design presentation our instructors and CADD staff can provide you an advantage in your own business.

The complete Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) program at Kwantlen University College ATC is updated on an ongoing basis in order to keep up with the rapid pace of technological advances. Designed for the experienced drafter, these courses concentrate on providing the skills to use a new tool, CADD. From Highway design, Architectural design, Plastics injection molding, Piping layout, Interior Design, to Garment design, AutoCAD is used in all these areas and more. We are not afraid to tackle new uses of AutoCAD, and we include other Autodesk products like:

  • AutoCAD current version
  • 3D Studio Viz®
  • AutoCAD LT®
  • Autodesk Architectural Desktop ®
  • Autodesk Mechanical Desktop ®
  • Autodesk Inventor ®

We use the latest release software from Autodesk® and we continually retrain to stay current to be able to help you learn the latest techniques.

Schedule

Lab access is provided from 16:00 to 2200. Lectures start at 1700 for AutoCAD Mastery to accommodate you and your workload. The best way to learn AutoCAD is to use it. With one person per workstation, you are guaranteed access to the latest and best software. If you have access to AutoCAD at work, you may not need to spend the time at the Lab from 4:00PM to 5:00PM, however we encourage you to use it as much as possible.
