Environmental Protection — New Students

University science courses are interesting, engaging and rewarding but have a heavy workload due to weekly mandatory labs.  As this is the case, we recommend the following course plan for your first year to manage your school-work-life balance and to ensure success in all of your courses.

For general information on how to check your registration time, registering for courses, paying your tuition and buying textbooks visit kpu.ca/advising/new-students.

Fall 2023 Registration Info for New EPT Students

It is important that you register in these specific courses and sections as a full-time student.  This means you will be in class with your cohort, you'll avoid registration conflicts and you'll have all the necessary prerequisites to continue to the next semester.

The EPT program consists of a few courses that students may have completed previously at KPU or another institution:

  • If you have received transfer credit for a course that may be used towards the EPT Diploma, do not register in it.
  • If you are still waiting on transfer credit, speak with an advisor about whether to register in that course. You will not receive a full tuition refund once classes start, even if you no longer need the course.

If you are unsure about the status of your transfer credit, or whether it can be used towards the EPT Diploma program, please book an appointment with an academic advisor. (Note: you will need your Student ID and password to sign in.)

It is possible to postpone taking some courses.  We recommend meeting with an advisor if you plan to complete the program over a longer period of time.  They can help create a plan and ensure you complete program courses in the right order.
