Formal Complaints Process & Requests for Review

A request can be made to BC's Office of Information and Privacy Commission (OIPC) to review a public body’s decision about a Freedom of Information request . The Commissioner’s Office is an independent body and has the authority to review any matter relating to a public body’s response to your request and to issue binding orders to resolve disputes. Within 30 days of the decision a request for review must be sent in writing to:
