Kwantlen Polytechnic University is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced student services professional for the position Director, Student Financial Services. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, vision and ongoing development, supervision, management, delivery, and benchmarking of the services provided across all campuses by the Student Awards and Financial Assistance (SAFA) Office. You will also be responsible for the execution of SAFA’s integration within KPU’s strategic enrolment management plan. SAFA is one of three offices within the Office of the Registrar, and the Director reports to the University Registrar.
As Director, you will provide leadership for Student Awards and Financial Assistance staff and act as the University’s principal contact for provincial, federal and American student loan authorities. As a member of KPU’s Student Affairs leadership team, you will work closely with other Student Affairs units, as well as with students, Faculties and KPU’s Foundation.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in a related discipline and a minimum 5 years’ experience in a post -secondary student services environment with 3-5 years of increasing responsibility, including the supervision and management of staff. A minimum of 5 years of in-depth knowledge of Canadian post-secondary education systems with a demonstrated knowledge of student financial assistance issues, programs, processes and concepts are required. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effective team management while implementing change resulting in improvements to service quality, staff productivity and systems efficiency. Demonstrated excellent computer skills using MS Office platforms and an intermediate knowledge of Banner (Student) or other similar student information systems are required.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is seeking a Vice-Provost, Students who will lead initiatives to assist the University in promoting strategic enrolment management and the student experience and success during an exciting time of dynamic change and growth. Reporting directly to the Provost & Vice-President, Academic, this position will commence as soon as possible and will be for a five year term with the possibility of renewal for a further five year term. The position will be based at the Surrey Campus although multi-campus travel will frequently be required.
The Vice-Provost, Students (VPS) oversees the development, implementation, and management of strategies and policies related to student recruitment, retention, success, and engagement. In addition, the VPS is responsible for the arrangement and administration of non-academic support for students. H/she is responsible for the overall leadership, development, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of a wide array of functions, activities and policies that affect student experience and success at KPU, including admissions and transfer credit, student financial aid and awards, enrolment management, athletics, career and co-op services, student information systems and student support systems across the University. The VPS is the primary university liaison between student leaders, the Kwantlen Student Association (KSA) and senior administration helping ensure the University is meeting the needs of a diverse student population by creating a learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the VPS provides leadership and vision on high priority initiatives and works closely and constructively with the Provost, Vice-Provosts, Deans, Directors and other members of the University’s senior administration as an integral part of the University’s planning process. The following Administrators report directly to the Vice-Provost, Students: University Registrar, Director of Student Engagement, Director of Counselling, Director of Athletics and Recreation, Director of Services for Students with Disabilities, and the Director of Co-op and Career Services.
As a key member of the Provost's team, you will be expected to provide leadership and vision on high priority initiatives and work closely and constructively with the Provost, Vice-Provosts, Deans, Directors, other members of the university's senior administration and Kwantlen Student Association as an integral part of the University's planning process. In this role you will also be required to support and enhance student recruitment and retention, successfully navigate complex governance processes and create and maintain cohesive working relationships and teams both within the internal and external KPU community.
As the preferred candidate, you have a Doctorate degree in higher education, counselling, student services or other relevant discipline; or a minimum of a Master’s degree is required in one of the above disciplines, along with a minimum of five years experience working in progressive leadership roles in a post-secondary environment, including administrative leadership roles and direct involvement in student management. Also required is a demonstrated track-record of successful post-secondary recruiting experience coupled with more recent successes in the area of enrolment management and/or student issues management.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is looking for a Manager, Strategic Planning & Quality to join our Institutional Analysis & Planning department. This diverse role includes responsibility for development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of both quality assurance and planning processes for the University.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Institutional Analysis & Planning, the Manager will work closely with others including both internal and external committees. The Manager provides leadership and supervision to our Program Review Coordinator and Student Appraisals Coordinator, as well as research assistants, auxiliary workers, contractors, and co-op and practicum students.
Quality assurance responsibilities include oversight and support to the university’s program review and student appraisal of instruction processes. This involves cooperating with other University divisions to ensure quality assurances processes are efficiently serving the University. It also involves contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and guidelines relating to quality assurance processes and facilitating program reviews, working closely with faculty members, department heads and Deans.
Planning responsibility encompasses supporting and facilitating university strategic planning and overseeing the process for providing data support for policy formulation and planning decisions.

This role is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and improvement of a strategic communications plan. S/he oversees the operations and management of various communications activities and initiatives for the purposes of domestic student recruitment and community engagement.
Reporting to the FSO Director, the Manager will work closely with others, including internal and external communities. S/he will provide leadership to implement a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as well as a broad spectrum of integrated communications pieces delivered via text, email, print, web, social media and other emerging channels. Working closely with the marketing department, the Manager will develop client-focused marketing and communications strategies that will be targeted at the various stages of the enrolment management process. Market research, planning and data analysis are key components of this position.
The Manager ensures that exemplary levels of customer service are provided throughout the student recruitment process. S/he provides leadership, guidance and supervision to staff including hiring, training, performance management and coaching.
The successful candidate will have in-depth, proven communications expertise and experience with CRM technologies. S/he will possess exceptional analytical and organizational skills to maintain a database and develop various campaigns for student recruitment across all KPU faculties.
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications as well as three years’ recent related experience in an intermediate role. Proven success managing a complex CRM system and a comprehensive understanding of how to strategically use a CRM database to deliver increasing business value is imperative. Management experience and expertise in sales, acquisition and retention marketing, web-marketing and e-commerce are assets.
