Commencing immediately Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) requires a full-time Accounting Analyst for a term of approximately one year in our Finance department located in Langley, BC. The primary functions of this position are to provide support in the areas of institutional financial reporting and analysis, financial reporting systems, and year-end audit requirements.
Minimum requirements include completion of the third (3rd) level of the CGA/CMA program at a recognized institution plus three years related experience, preferably in the public sector, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated working knowledge of integrated accounting systems; a demonstrated knowledge of common PC applications software such as spreadsheet, database and word processing; and a demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively in English both verbally and in writing. The candidate must also have demonstrated ability to exercise judgment to work and complete assignments with minimal supervision. The salary range for this position is $26.59-$29.74/hour or $1,861.30 - $2,081.80 bi-weekly.

The Student Awards and Financial Assistance department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University has an immediate opening for a regular full-time Financial Aid Assistant at the Surrey campus. In this role, you will be responsible for providing information and guidance to students regarding Financial Assistance Programs as well as performing administrative functions in support of the Student Awards and Financial Assistance office.
The successful candidate will have direct experience working with ABESAP, student loans and the Canada Student Grant program, will be skilled in dealing with sensitive situations and be able to demonstrate the use of diplomacy and tact while communicating with a diverse range of people. Strong problem solving skills, the ability to work independently while exercising good judgment and strong organizational skills are important in this role. A working knowledge of Student Banner or similar student records system is required as well as proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
