Head Coach: Srdjan Djekanovic
Coach Djekanovic holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a USA Soccer Federation B National coaching license. He will begin a Masters in Educational Leadership in Fall 2014. He is a former Canadian National player at the Senior and U-20 levels, a former CIS player with the UBC Thunderbirds of Canada West, and a former professional player in the MLS with the Vancouver Whitecaps, Toronto FC, and the Montreal Impact (the first player in Canadian history to play for all three Canadian professional teams).
Coach Djekanovic is in his second year as head coach of the men's soccer program. He is a former CIS assistant coach with UBC (2010-2012) and currently coaches with the Fusion FC U-17 Boys, U17/18 Girls, U-13 Boys, USL Super 20's, and Central City Breakers U-18 Boys. He is the head coach of the Revolution FC All-Stars, as well as the director and head coach of Primo Sports Soccer Academy.
Assistant Coach: Aleks (Aleksandar) Borojevic
|Aleks is in his second year as an assistant coach with KPU men's soccer and brings a wealth of BCSPL and international coaching experience to the program. He holds a UEFA A license and a CSA B license, and is presently an assistant coach with the Croatian National Woman's U17 team. Over the last three years Aleks has worked as the Head Staff Coach and then Assistant to the Technical Director at Guildford AC. He is also a BCSPL coach with multiple Surrey United teams. Prior to his arrival in Canada Aleks coached in the youth and senior levels of soccer throughout Europe, he was also appointed as a scout for the UEFA Inter-Toto Competition. During his time in Europe Aleks traveled extensively and was able to observe coaches at clubs such as Inter Milan, Ajax Amsterdam, FC Parma, Lyon and Dinamo Zagreb.|
Assistant Coach: Paul Pedersen
Goalkeeper Coach: Gus Karvelis
|Gus has been coaching for the past 22 years with such teams as the BCSPL Fusion U17 Boys and U16 Girls, Fusion Academy U16 Boys, Vancouver Metro boys U18, Vancouver United FC Active start, Dunbar Soccer club,and the Ethnikos FC men's metro league. Gus has been the Coordinator for the Greek soccer league since 1992, has played locally in the Pacific Coast League '84-'87 for the Apollo soccer club and has also played in Greece. Gus is presently the General Manager of the Hellenic Community of Vancouver and under his portfolio he also coordinates their athletic programs, events, and fundraising efforts.|
