Kwantlen Polytechnic University graduates unveil dynamic fashion designs at "the SHOW"

Metro Vancouver, B.C. - You don't have to go to New York, London or Paris to experience a fashion event like no other. Fashion returns to the runway with 32 innovative design collections from Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Fashion Design and Technology graduates during Kwantlen's annual fashion event held at the River Rock Show Theatre, Tuesday, April 3.

The stunning event, "the SHOW" celebrates the graduating class and showcases their portfolio's that feature designs of inspiration, imagination and marketing sensibility. Each student has a distinctive journey that has lead them down the road to fashion. The event promises to deliver creative garments with designs that are vibrant and trend setting, unconventional and spectacular all woven in the fabric of their lives. Prepare to celebrate the highly competitive world of couture at "the SHOW."
As the only four-year program of its kind in western Canada, Kwantlen's Bachelor of Design, Fashion and Technology degree prepares students for careers in the global apparel economy in fashion design, production, marketing and computer technology. The program's curriculum is noted for its industry focus and on formulating design solutions that are both creative and marketable for the global apparel economy.

Since 2005, over 90% of graduates have successfully entered the apparel industry with qualifications and experience which enable them to quickly progress to supervisory positions, technical specialties, and to move into leadership roles. This dynamic program features industry-based education and training using leading-edge technology, class projects facilitated by prominent apparel companies, and an extensive internship that results in employment.

Show times are 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15.00 for the afternoon shows and $35.00 for the evening performance.
