KPU Eagles welcome new head coach Vladimir Nikić to the men's basketball program and the Eagles' Nest

Coach Vladimir Nikić is a Level 3 NCCP certified coach who has worked at the CIS, CCAA, IBL, and FIBA levels. Earlier in his life he played semi-professionally in Europe for the club team (Vojvodina) in former Yugoslavia. Upon moving to Canada, he officiated basketball at the Canada West and BCCAA levels. After completing his Education Degree from SFU, Coach Nikić was hired to teach and coach basketball at Delview Secondary school where his teams won over 200 games over the last 7 seasons and qualified for the BC Championships 3 times in the last 4 years. Coach Nikić previously served as a Basketball BC Provincial Team coach at the U14 and U17 levels and he was also part of the staff at the Regional Training Centre (RTC).  Coach Nikić is a strong believer in positive attitude, individual skill development, and overall character.

The KPU Eagles Department of Recreation & Athletics are members of PACWEST (CCAA) with 100 student-athletes participating on eight varsity teams in men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, badminton and golf.
