KPU Eagles golf team holds tryouts for 2014/15 season

Our KPU Eagles golf team will hold a 2-day tryout for prospective men and women's varsity golfers Friday-Saturday, August 8-9, 2014.

  • Day 1, Friday August 8th 1:00pm start time at Surrey Golf Course
  • Day 2, Saturday, August 9th 2:24 start time Northview Golf Country Club (Ridge Course)

The cost to try-out is $90 tax included. This includes the cost of both rounds of golf, as well as a burger at Northview after the Saturday round.

To be eligible to play for the KPU Eagles you must be a full-time KPU student enrolled in 9-credits (or full-time equivalent). All men and women golfers interested in trying out must register with KPU Eagles Head Coach, Matt Palsenbarg at matt@mattgolf.com.

About the KPU Eagles
In 2014/15 the KPU Eagles Department of Athletics & Recreation enters its 14th season of interuniversity competition. The Eagles are members of the PACWEST conference and play in the Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA) with 100 student-athletes participating on eight varsity teams in men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, badminton and golf. KPU athletics plays its home games at the Eagles’ Nest (Surrey Campus), Northview Golf & Country Club, Newton Athletic Park, all located in Surrey, BC and the Ace Badminton Centre in Richmond, BC.  The Eagles are active in the conference with staff members on various advisory committees and competing to host both provincial and national championships. The student-athletes are mainly from the lower mainland but KPU’s rosters have included student-athletes from three continents, North America, Asia and Europe.
