KPU Eagles men's golf team place fourth at PACWEST Tournament 3

Metro Vancouver.....The KPU Eagles' men's golf team placed fourth in PACWEST Tournament 3, the Douglas College Invitational September 27-28 to end the weekend in fifth place overall in the league. The Eagles travel to Kelowna, BC as UBC-O hosts PACWEST Tournament 4 this weekend.

PACWEST TOURNAMENT 3 - Douglas College Invitational Results for KPU:
Thomas Rose, Surrey, BC continues to lead the team this season as he shot 142 and tied for sixth place with Zach Olson, Strathmore, AB of UFV. Tyler Roope, Langley, BC tied for eighth place with 143 with Jarred Callbeck, Victoria, BC of Camosun College. Eagles Mark Gamache, Surrey, BC and Jordon Morford, Abbotsford, BC tied for 25th place with VIU's Michael Hrabowych, Nanaimo, BC with scores of 156. Aaron Ferrer, Delta, BC shot 158 for 30th place, Matthew Cooper, Maple Ridge, BC shot 159 for 31st place, and Sukhbir Jawandha, Surrey, BC shot 167 for 33rd place.

The KPU Eagles Department of Athletics & Recreation enters its 14th season of interuniversity competition. The Eagles are members of the PACWEST conference and play in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) with 100 student-athletes participating on eight varsity teams in men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, badminton and golf. KPU athletics plays its home games at the Eagles’ Nest (Surrey Campus), Northview Golf & Country Club, Newton Athletic Park, all located in Surrey, BC and the Ace Badminton Centre in Richmond, BC.  The Eagles are active in the conference with staff members on various advisory committees and competing to host both provincial and national championships. The student-athletes are mainly from the lower mainland but KPU’s rosters have included student-athletes from North America, South America, Asia and Europe.
