Metro Vancouver.....The KPU Eagles Department of Athletics and Recreation and men's soccer Head Coach Srdjan Djekanović are pleased to welcome Mikey Dhillon and Ryan Arthur, both of Vancouver, BC, as the first recruits of their 2015/16 recruiting class.

“I am excited that these gentlemen will be joining our KPU Soccer Program in September 2015,” stated Coach Djekanović, “As we build our program we are mindful of the culture and environment we want to achieve. Both Mikey and Ryan possess tremendous skill and character, I know they will be a great fit with our returning Eagles as they embody the traits that we want the program to be known for.”

Mikey Dhillon
Dhillon is a graduating senior from David Thompson Secondary and a defender for Fusion FC of the BCSPL. Known for being a team player, Dhillon is a natural leader on the field with a winning mindset, an excellent soccer IQ and a great eye for the ball.

"I am very excited to welcome Mikey to our KPU Men's Soccer program and know he will achieve much success at KPU. Mikey is one of the best defenders in Western Canada in his age group and we are proud that he will be joining our top-ranked defence,” said Coach Djekanović, “With addition of a player of Mikey's qualities and leadership we continue to build a strong team with core values. I have no doubt that Mikey will be a top defender in our league and one of the leaders on our team.”

Ryan Arthur
Arthur is striker, also with Fusion FC of the BCSPL. His physical presence in the attack will bring much-needed firepower to the Eagles frontline. The Vancouver College senior is a true target man who possesses the skill, work ethic, strength and ability that will be a strong fit for KPU.

“Ryan is very dangerous in the air, but also very good with his feet and capable of beating defenders 1 on 1,” commented Coach Djekanović, “He has a good shot, a cool head on his shoulders, team spirit, and desire to win. This combined with his tremendous energy level and commitment to bringing 100% to practice and games are just some of the reasons why we are excited to have Ryan join us at KPU.”
