Richmond, B.C. – From couture to commuter wear for cyclists; burlesque costumes to gender-neutral kidswear: this year’s lines at the 2015 Fashion Show are set to impress and inspire.

On April 9, 39 unique capstone collections will walk down the runway in British Columbia’s biggest student fashion show. The annual industry event is the culmination of four years of rigorous, studio-based design training at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) Wilson School of Design.

The 2015 Fashion Show, presented by Tamoda Apparel, will feature collections for men, women and children. Traditional Far East-inspired casual attire, plus-size corporate clothing, androgynous fashion and organic kidswear are just a few of the distinctive collections that will be featured.

There are collections for all phases of life – maternity, youth, the golden years – plus stunning outfits that repurpose vintage clothing, incorporate slow fashion and are created by-hand with locally-sourced sustainable materials.

The featured designers study in Richmond, but are from throughout the province, including: Aldergrove, Burnaby, Langley, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Surrey, South Surrey, Vancouver, Victoria, West Vancouver, White Rock.

Tickets for the 2015 Fashion Show start at $18 and are on sale now. More information is available at: kpu.ca/2015fashionshow.
