Activities with the Student Club

There's no complete education without volunteering, participating in student club activities, and connecting with the community. EPT students often take an active role in SAFE (Students Active For the Environment) and KSASS (KPU Students for Sustainability).  Below are some examples; click on the pictures for more information.

Students devoted a rainy October Saturday to a project planting native species along a creek in need of help.

A group of students worked with the City of Surrey to incorporate a requirement for recycling facilities when holding a big event like a festival.

The SAFE club volunteered some time educating the public during KPU's first ever Sustainability Week.

For five weeks every fall pairs of student work as volunteers with staff from the City of Surrey sampling creeks as part of the Boundary Bay Ambient Monitoring Program.
