These graduates of KPU's Carpentry/Building Construction program have chosen a great time to pursue a career in the trades. An estimated 700,000 jobs will open in trades and technology over the next 10 years, reflecting the vital role skilled professionals play in society.

Millwright graduate and first-year apprentice Steve Hettrick is working on the construction of a three axis positioner which is part of a fuselage positioning system for Global Aeronautica in Charleston, South Carolina. The machine will be used to guide sections of the fuselage for the new Boeing 787.

Jason came to KPU directly from high school to complete the Automotive Service Technician program. He found the program not only met, but exceeded his expectations and provided an intense learning environment. KPU has prepared him for an apprenticeship that will provide even more experience, enabling him to continue following his dream of eventually opening his own shop.
