What does the Math Test Cover?

Math for CADD

To assess your math level, you will do a paper-based assessment of your math skills. You will complete 33 math questions covering Introductory Algebra, Linear and non-Linear Equations, Systems of Equations, Matrices, Inequalities, Polynomials, Rational Expressions, Exponents and Radicals, Quadratics, Exponents and Logarithms, and Trigonometry. Calculators are allowed. For preparation for the math portion of the test, we recommend the workbook “TestPrep Regents Integrated Algebra Workbook,” by American BookWorks Corporation; it is available at Chapters for about $10. You can also try out free online tools such as purplemath.com or the free online Khan Academy, to do various Algebra topics. If you click on “Watch” in Khan Academy, you can choose topics in Developmental Math 2, Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Worked Examples, CA Standard Tests Algebra 1, or ck12 Algebra 1, in addition to Trigonometry. If you click on “Practice” you can try out 4-5 problems on the topics that you choose. You may also speak with an ACP Math instructor at the campus nearest you. There is also a sample test at kpu.ca/testing, click on the “Sample Test menu” and you will see the CADD Sample Test link.
