Ross Gordon’s research involves ethnobiological knowledge vitalizing cultural and language use in indigenous communities. Ross recently co-authored a quad-lingual encyclopaedia of marine biology knowledge of the Batuley people of eastern Indonesia. Currently, a teacher’s guide to incorporate the book into local science, language and culture curriculums is in development. Several film projects on related topics are also underway.
