Heather Harrison is an instructor in the Philosophy Department and Policy Studies Program who is passionate about creating a rich and stimulating learning environment for her students. Her current work is in applied ethics focused on sustainability. She is politically active and has run for civic office in Vancouver and contributed to policy platforms for elections. Heather has been a Special Advisor to Thomas Mulcair and has been Chair of the Social Justice Policy Committee for the BC NDP. Heather teaches the Introductory Policy Studies course, as well as Philosophy courses in Environmental Ethics and Public Policy.
