Government COVID-19 Emergency Funding

If you are facing financial hardship due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for a one-time government emergency bursary.

To be assessed for this funding, you will have to meet with a Financial Aid Advisor. During this meeting, you will be assessed based on:

  • The eligibility criteria
    • KPU student must be registered in current term
    • Canadian citizen/permanent resident and a BC resident
  • Documentation showing the impact COVID19 has had on your financial situation (examples may include bank statements, layoff notice, or other records)
  • How much funding is available

To determine your eligibility, please complete the self-screening tool below. If you answer yes to all questions, please email us at awards@kpu.ca. In your email, please use the subject line “COVID-19 Emergency Aid” and include your student number and phone number in the body of the email. We will contact you to set up an appointment with a Financial Aid Advisor to review your application.
