Information on KPU’s preparations for potential disruption to transit bus services in Metro Vancouver

Last Updated - Nov 14, 7:00PM

Further disruption to Coast Mountain Bus Company bus and sea bus services in Metro Vancouver is anticipated as a result of an increase in job action. Bus operator overtime bans on November 15, 18, 20 and 22 are expected to affect some bus services.

Despite the potential disruption, KPU expects to continue operations as normal.

The university’s advice remains to:

  • Check in with your instructor, supervisor, manager or Dean’s office if you think bus disruption will impact your ability to be on campus.
  • Determine if alternative transportation methods are available to you.
  • Exercise flexibility, planning and understanding during this time.

Translink’s alert web page is a useful resource for anyone seeking the latest information on the disruption to transit services in Metro Vancouver.

The shuttle bus service running between KPU’s Surrey, Cloverdale and Langley campuses, which the university jointly operates with the Kwantlen Student Association, is expected to continue as normal during the job action.

Further updates will be provided as appropriate and posted to kpu.ca/bus-action-info
