Music: Associate of Arts Degree
The Associate of Arts Degree in Music is designed to provide a broad educational experience that prepares students for further study in the field of music and the arts. This degree does not include private music lessons (e.g. MUSI 1105, 1155, 1156, 1157, etc.)

Application to the Music Program
In addition to submitting a general application to the university, those wishing to apply for the music program must also submit a Music Applicant Information Form and arrange for two reference letters. For details, please visit kpu.ca/arts/music/future-students
Note: First semester music courses require students in the Associate Degree to obtain permission to register. In the case of The Language of Music and The History of Music courses, students may be asked to compete the KPU Music Placement test. Please contact the Music Department at 604.599.3315, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Faculty's Admission Requirements, which consist of KPU's undergraduate English Proficiency Requirement, apply to this program.
Within the framework of the Associate of Arts Degree students are required to complete at least 32 credits of MUSI courses at the 1100- and 2000-level, with a minimum grade of C in each course, including the following courses.

* Note: These courses have co-requisites which must be taken concurrently or in a prior semester.
Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to receive an Associate of Arts Degree in Music.
