Analytical Approaches to Western Humanism

Students will be introduced, via literary works of the imagination as well as texts with a more theoretical character, to issues connected with how the modern identity is formed and how it is constituted.
HUMN 1111 cr-3
The Religions of India
Students will study the four major religions that originated in India – Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism – with an emphasis on scriptural sources. They will also examine the development of these religious traditions within their socio-cultural and historical contexts.
