ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE IN CRIMINOLOGY

Requirements for the Associate of Arts degree (Criminology) are currently being revised. Please check back frequently for revisions. Also see the framework of the Associate of Arts degree.

Note

For SFU: All lower-division requirements for Simon Fraser University’s Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology will have been completed within the Associate of Arts Criminology. Within the framework of the Associate of Arts Degree, students must complete at least 60 credits with a minimum of C in each course including the following:

    • PSYC 1100 Introduction to Psychology: Basic Processes

    • PSYC 1200 Introduction to Psychology: Areas and Applications

    • SOCI 1125 Introduction to Society: Processes and Structures

    • ANTH 1125 Introduction to Forensic Anthropology (or another lab science)

  3. Any one of:

  4. Any one of:

    • A course in the Humanities

  5. Any one of:

    • CPSC 1100 Introduction to Computer Literacy

    • CPSC 1103 Introduction to Computer Programming I

  6. Any one of:

  7. Three credits in second - year arts, science, or other areas

Note

For the Associate of Arts degree in Criminology, students are only required to complete a minimum of 18 semester credits in Arts at the second year level taken in two or more subject areas.
