Assessment Services

We provide full and partial (i.e. customized) psychovocational, psycho-educational, psychological/ disability, neuropsychological assessments. With regard to vocational (career) assessments, we hope to meet the needs of clients who are looking for a career change, or who have been injured and want to get back into the work force in an alternative job, or in their former job in a modified capacity. We provide recommendations for retraining and/or job options, as appropriate. With regard to diagnostic assessments of learning disabilities, or broader "educational" assessments, we provide recommendations for placement and suggest remedial interventions and learning strategies. Psychological assessments focus on intellectual abilities as well as diagnosing psychological illnesses, and neuropsychological assessments focus on uncovering any cognitive, auditory, perceptual/motor, or emotional control deficits that may be affecting a person's functioning after a head injury.

Our Staff

We contract with a number of registered psychologists and educational consultants. All consultants are highly qualified and experienced. As a group, they have expertise in testing children, adolescents, and adults, and also have experience with diverse population's (e.g. the hearing impaired, head injured, learning disabled, etc.) Assessment Services operates on a fee-for-service basis. Part or all of the cost of our assessments may be covered by MSA extended health, or other insurers such as WCB, ICBC, etc.
