Utilize the STAR method when completing your report to reflect on the outcome of your actions within the IPM program:

STAR Method

Situation (the WHY): Explain the situation that occurred. What was the purpose of your Task and Action?

What information was important to share? What inquiry arose? What discussion transpired? What activity occurred? What support was requested? What administrative work was required? Etc.

Task (the WHAT): Discuss the specific tasks that you had to complete as a result of the Situation.

Action (the STEPS): State the specific steps you took to finish the Task and share an explanation of your process.

Results (the OUTCOME): Finally, talk about the outcome of your Action. Explain how the situation was resolved and contributed to satisfaction and support of mentees.
