Fashion Marketing lives at the intersection where fashion and business meet. Professionals working in fashion marketing and merchandising examine fashion trends, coordinate sales, promote brands and are responsible for helping designers ensure their lines sell.
Our hands-on program teaches you practical skills in business, fashion, communications and marketing, while helping you make the industry connections you need to help launch your career.

And since our selective entry program only accepts 30 students per year, you’ll get the mentorship you need to succeed.

Successful fashion marketing professionals usually have a blend of business skills and fashion knowledge, as well as the ability to identify consumer behavior and desires. Fashion marketers excel at providing a superior level of customer service and an exceptional customer experience. They have a flair for working with people and thrive in an environment that benefits from their engaging communication skills.
Our prospective students are eager to learn about and work in various areas of the fashion industry. They have some experience and knowledge about fashion and wish to build on that passion to develop their marketing and management skills for success in leadership positions.

The Diploma in Fashion Marketing combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. You’ll learn from well-connected industry professionals and push yourself further than you thought possible.
Our program is selective entry, meaning we accept only the most promising students and give them the individual attention they need to meet their potential.
Through this diploma program, you'll develop the fashion, communications, marketing and business skills needed to launch your career in the fashion industry.
While this is a rigorous full time 2-year program, you can adjust your elective schedules, so you can finish the program while working. For more information, please contact the Program Coordinator.
Graduates of the Fashion Marketing Diploma may also apply to the third year of one of KPU’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs, or any faculty of interest.
Tuition and Fees
For information on tuition, please visit our Tuition Estimator. There are also mandatory student fees and other fees that you are subject to. You should also be prepared to spend between $500-800 on project materials, photocopying and printing during the program.

In addition to the standard tuition and fees, students entering the Fashion Marketing program should also factor in the cost of a laptop and recommended software to complete projects and course deliverables. To find out minimum specifications and recommended software, please visit Tuition & Fees.
Once you have completed your application, you will receive detailed instructions on how to submit your Entrance Package, including a letter of interest that showcases why you are a good fit for our program.
Fashion marketing is the process of managing the flow of merchandise, from the initial selection of designs to be produced to the presentation of products to retail customers, with the goal of maximizing a company's sales and profitability. Successful fashion marketing depends on understanding consumer desire and responding with appropriate messages, materials and execution of marketing plans.
Graduates of our program have the skills necessary for employment in the creative business services sector, working for apparel companies, retailers, distributors and marketers in a variety of roles:
- Styling and Consulting
- Visual Merchandising
- Special Events Coordination
- Retail Sales
Many of our graduates are entrepreneurs, leading socially responsible businesses, ranging from lifestyle photography to creative consultancy while others hold management positions in fashion and design-related companies.
Some graduates pursue further education, applying to enter the third year of one of KPU’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs, or any faculty of interest.
