Field Schools are amazing opportunities that involve you travelling with a group of fellow students to another country and then studying a topic there in depth. It's also a great chance to see if you'd like to take part in longer exchange programs! When you're in a Field School, you study outside of the traditional classroom setting with a group of other students. Beyond academic training, it's also a chance for you to receive hands-on experience in another culture and/or environment.
Your Field School adventure starts with you attending classes at KPU with your fellow students/adventurers and an instructor. After that, you will fly up, up and away, travelling abroad to continue your education in the field and acquiring new and exciting stories to tell all of your friends!
The Amazon Interdisciplinary Field School 2025
Visit Colombia's Amazon Rainforest and experience its rich biological and cultural diversity. After a cultural tour of Bogota, you will travel south to the Calanoa Natural Reserve where you will engage in creative activities, trek and canoe into the forest, and learn indigenous knowledge from local guides and shamans. This 6-credit course and field school uses an interdisciplinary approach to explore themes of sustainability, conservation, community development, and indigenous perspectives. Fashion Field School 2025 : London and Paris
In this field school, you will have the opportunity to explore fashion and fashion marketing and design through the tremendous history of London and Paris. You will see first-hand how each city became, and have stayed, two of the most significant fashion centers of the world. You will be encouraged to connect with each other throughout the course, and engage in discussion and reflection with each experiential component. You will maintain hard-copy journals to document and express personal engagement, and also create an e-portfolio of awareness, reflection and learning outcomes based on your own experience.
Berlin & Prague: Design Field School 2025
Visit Berlin and Prague to immerse yourself in an interactive learning environment, where you will take part in a wide variety of immersion activities related to local culture and design. You will get the chance to cultivate your interdisciplinary skills through creativity, design thinking, academic inquiry, and cultural awareness.
Sri Lanka 2025 Global Health Field School
This field school unfolds the United Nations' Explore travel and international nursing, while learning more about the differences in health care across the globe.
