The first and probably most important things in a portfolio are great, high-quality photos of your models, prototypes and anything 3D that you want to show. This workshop will guide you through the basics of how to take the best possible photo.
We will review:
- Setting the scene: background and lighting - semi pro and beginner styles.
- Image size: pixels, inches, resolution - how do I make sense of all?
- DSRL cameras and mobile phone: exposure time, deep of field, diaphragm aperture - flash or no flash? HDRI... what is it?
- Image post-processing: adjust hue, brightness, colour balance, combining images.
