Register now to participate in the KPU Melville School of Business Virtual Cybersecurity Hackathon "KPUHacks" on March 27th, 2021. This event is intended for post-secondary students (years 1-4) who are currently enrolled in a Business, Computer Science or Software Engineering Program. The event will be an offensive type of hackathon where participants will have to collect several flags by completing challenges related to Forensics, Cryptography, Web Exploitation, Reverse Engineering, and Binary Exploitation. Knowledge about network security, application security, web security, and overall system security will be helpful when competing in this challenge. Participants will be given 6 hours to complete as many challenges as possible and the top three teams will receive prizes.
- 1st Place Team: $300 gift card
- 2nd Place Team: $225 gift card
- 3rd Place Team: $75 gift card
Teams can have a maximum of 3 members and all team members will need to register individually. The deadline to register is March 23rd and details will be emailed to you closer to the event.
- 9:30am-10:00am = Introduction
- 10:00am-4:00pm = Hackathon Activities
- 4:00pm-4:30pm = Break
- 4:30pm-5:30pm = Closing
