The Library has Upgraded Some Student Group Study Rooms with New Tech

Some of our campus library group study rooms for students at Surrey, Richmond and Langley are equipped with new tech bling. Each of these rooms now has

  • Large LED wall screen
  • A KPU computer
  • HMDI cable set up to attach your laptop
  • Wireless instructions to connect your device
  • 4 headphone jacks (headphones can be borrowed from the Library Service/Equipment Counter)
  • 2 USB charging ports

To find these rooms at your campus, you will notice a new Tech Room designation beside the room number in the booking module.

We hope these upgrades facilitate student group work and study projects. After you use this space, we’d really appreciate hearing back from you if you found the equipment useful or if there is other equipment we could provide that would help facilitate your group project work. Just send us a quick note using the email form on our Ask Us page.

The New APA Citation Guide has Arrived!

The American Psychological Association recently published a new 7th edition of their Publication Manual. The Library’s APA guide now reflects these changes. You’ll find a video on the landing page that gives a brief overview of the major changes (with a link above to the text of the video). On that guide, you’ll also find a link to the Library’s updated APA handout. We will have the print Publication Manual and print copies of our handout available in the Library for the Spring Semester.
