The easternmost portion of KPU’s licensed area is dedicated to a high-density orchard and a free-standing orchard. In April 2023, the first row of apple trees was planted in the high-density section, featuring four varieties: Empire, Spartan, Fuji, and Sunrise. Since then, two additional rows have been added, with varieties selected for both fresh eating and cider production. The final row of this orchard will be planted with dwarf pear trees.
