French for Beginners I

Students will develop listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. They will study basic grammar, vocabulary, linguistic structures and cultural elements of the francophone world.

French for Beginners II

Students will continue to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. They will study basic grammar, vocabulary, linguistic structures and cultural elements of the francophone world.

Prerequisites: FREN 1100 or placement test

Basic French I

Students will continue to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. They will continue to study basic grammar, vocabulary, linguistic structures, and cultural elements of the francophone world.

Basic French II

Students will continue to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. They will continue to study basic grammar, vocabulary, linguistic structures, and cultural elements of the francophone world.

French Language

Students will consolidate the foundations established in earlier courses and increase proficiency in all language skills, with a particular concentration on grammar review. They will read and discuss the works of some Francophone writers and journalists.

Intermediate Conversation I

Students will develop oral, listening, reading, and writing skills in French while exploring and discussing the culture of the French speaking world and discussing current affairs.

French Language II
