For Future Students

The Future Students’ Office (FSO) serves prospective students (kpu.ca/futurestudents) interested in attending KPU. Representatives from this area are the first point of contact to provide information and advice to future students, parents, counselors, teachers and community members about diverse KPU programs, services, admission requirements, and more. The FSO team offers a wide range of student recruitment services and activities including:

  • School Visits, Fairs & Community Events – Each year we conduct extensive visits of secondary schools and attend education and career fairs across BC and Canada to connect with students about all that we have to offer at KPU. FSO also participates in select community events to raise our institutional profile.
  • Dual Credit Pathways – Students can get a head start on university studies by participating in a dual credit pathway. Tuition is covered by the Ministry of Education. Earn both high school graduation and university credits and get a glimpse into post-secondary (kpu.ca/dualcredit).
  • Drop-in Advising – Prospective students can meet with one of our knowledgeable Student Recruitment Coordinators, who will answer questions as well as provide tips and advice to make the application process to KPU smooth and successful. We offer drop-in advising hours at Surrey, Richmond, Langley and Cloverdale campuses each week.
  • Online Advising – Click the “Live Chat” icon located on our website and start asking questions using our convenient online advising tool.
  • Phone Advising – We also offer telephone advising appointments. Simply fill out our online form and we'll contact you by email to set up an appointment.
  • Campus Tours (Individual & Groups) – A campus tour is an excellent way to learn more about KPU firsthand. Discover our exciting programs and support services. Meet current students and faculty, tour our facilities and labs, and find out why thousands of students are choosing KPU, Canada’s leading polytechnic university.
  • Upcoming Events – KPU offers a variety of events throughout the year for future students, including Open House (kpu.ca/openhouse), program information sessions, course registration workshops and more.
  • Connect with KPU – Want to keep connected with KPU? Subscribe to our future students’ e-newsletter to receive news and updates on upcoming events, new programs, campus life and more. You can also send us a Tweet (twitter.com/KPU_FSO) or reach us on Facebook (facebook.com/kpufuturestudents).
