Lynette Shaw Manton

Dip. Travel/Tourism (Grant MacEwan), Cert. T.E.S.L. (Car.), B.A. (Alta.), M.Ed.Tech. (U.B.C.)

I have been teaching at KPU and helping to prepare students for success in their future studies since 1998. I have a background in Classics and Anthropology, had a brief career as a travel agent but eventually discovered my passion for teaching. I love travelling and meeting people from many cultures and ESL has been a great career that brings together these different paths in my life. I am currently an e-Learning Coordinator for English Language Studies which is a direct result of my studies in the Master of Educational Technology program at UBC. I am very interested in developing best practices for online learning and the integration of technology into the face to face classroom.

I love reading, walking, singing in a choir, doing pilates, making costumes for a theatre group, hanging out with my son and daughter and travelling whenever I can.
