  • Friday Oct. 6th - Application Opens
  • Tuesday Oct 31st - Application Closes
  • Wednesday, Nov. 1 – Tuesday Nov 28th - Application Review and Processing
  • 2nd week of January 2024 - Decision Notification to Students

The KPU Career Development Centre is pleased to award:


CO-OP AWARDS

Award #1 - Bill & Benita Francis Award (1 award of $1,000)

Bill and Benita Francis appreciate the value of hard work and the value of an education. To honour their values and commitment to life-long learning, this award is created to support a Business student enrolled in a Co-op program.

Criteria:

  • CGPA of 2.50 or greater;
  • enrolled full-time (minimum nine credits);
  • successfully completed a work term
  • preference given to a student who has overcome academic or personal challenges.

 

Award #2 – School of Business Co-op Awards (11 awards of $1,000 each)

Criteria includes a combination

  1. Community and workplace
  2. Academic
  3. Workplace growth
  • Students must be a KPU Co-op student
  • Applications are made available to students in School of Business Co-op programs, BBA Accounting, BBA Entreprenurial Leadership, BBA HR Management, BBA Marketing Management, Bachelor of Technology Information Technology, Marketing Diploma, Computer Information Systems Diploma, Public Relations Diploma, PB Diploma Accounting, PB Diploma HR Management, PB Diploma Operations & Supply Chain.

 

Award #3 – Co-operative Education Achievement Award (1 award of $1,000)

Criteria includes a combination

  1. Community and workplace contribution
  2. Academic achievement
  3. Workplace growth
  • Students must be a KPU Co-op student
  • Applications are made available to Co-op students in all programs, including Criminology, Environmental Protection Technology, and Computer Aided Design and Drafting 

       

Award #4 – EC Managed IT Co-op Award (1 award of $1,000) *NEW AWARD*

EC Managed IT has been providing IT services and support for 25 years. At EC Managed IT, we take great pride in being able to serve the communities that we work in, all across British Columbia. All of our employees live and work in the communities that we serve, which is why it is so important for us to be able to give back whenever we can. Through this award, we aim to support students – especially female students – in KPU’s co-op IT programs, at the same time promote Managed Service Providers as a career choice for IT students.

Criteria:

  • CGPA of 3.0 or greater;
  • Student must be in one of the following two KPU Co-op programs: Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology or Computer Information Systems Diploma;
  • Student must have successfully completed one work term;
  • Preference given to female students.
