Who can request an inviligation of an exam?
Any student who wishes to write an exam from another institution (with their institution's approval).
Who do I contact to book an exam time?
You can book a testing seat/invigilator online using our Booking Form. We will contact you within 1-3 days via email to confirm a booking date and time.
****Please do not drop in to book exams as we are often in testing sessions****
What dates do you offer invigilation/proctoring services?
SURREY (Newton) CAMPUS: Wednesdays at 2:00pm & 3:00pm and Thursdays at 9:30am
SURREY (Cloverdale) TECH CAMPUS: Tuesdays at 10:30 or 11am
What if my exam is an online examination?
We will invigilate your session according to your institution’s policies and procedures. Our Center has computers available to students for online exams.
How much is the inviligation fee?
There is a $50 fee for each invigilated exam (up to 3 hours/per exam) and $10 per additional hour or portion thereof. Exams over 3 hours need pre-approval from our centre so that we can plan to have an invigilator available for more than 3 hours.
This fee is payable at the Student Enrolment Services office when you come to write your test. Please ask for a duplicate receipt from the cashier. Please note: Cash payments will NOT be accepted at the Assessment Centre or by the Test Invigilator. Cash Payments must be made at the Student Enrolment Services office on any campus during regular hours of operation, Monday through Friday.
What do I need to tell my institution?
You will need to let your home institution know the date that have booked your exam at Kwantlen. Please let them know that we have a policy that all exams must arrive at KPU at least 3 days before the exam test date or we may have to reschedule your exam.
Please note, that we cannot guarantee that you will have a specific invigilator, only that one of our five invigilators will supervise your exam.
Our Invigilators are as follows:
Penny MacKay - Testing Administrator
Salma Husain - Testing Administrator
Andrea Votto - Testing Administrator
Sandy McManus - Testing Administrator - Cloverdale Campus
Donna Porteous - Assessment and Testing Coordinator
