Metro Vancouver.....The KPU Eagles men's soccer team earn their first Top 15 National ranking in the CCAA after placing 13 out of 15 schools across the country in the first week of the PACWEST CCAA 2014/15 season. This marks the first time that the program has been nationally ranked under the direction of second-year head coach Srdjan Djekanovic.

"It is nice to see the guys recognized for all the hard work and effort they have put in so far," he states, "Our team's success lies in working hard together and for each other."

The KPU Eagles kicked off the season at home on September 3 with a 3-0 victory over the Capilano University Blues. The team experienced a tough loss to the Douglas College Royals 3-0 on Saturday the 7th but would come back with a convincing 4-1 win over the Langara College Falcons.

Coach Djekanovic is pleased with the season's start and has his eyes set on the future. "We have a very young, but devoted team that sticks together to achieve our common goals," he notes, "We are fortunate to have great support from our University and Athletic Department. I look forward to seeing this team continue to grow and develop over time."
