Employment and Educational Access


Offered at Langley, Richmond and Surrey Campus

Description
Our Employment and Educational Access Program at Kwantlen is designed to help students identify employment and career goals. In addition to offering practical hands on training, the program focuses on self exploration, decision making, career plans, self employment options; included are a variety of workshops on time management, resume writing, cultural and diversity issues, stress management, teamwork, communication skills, etc. This 16-week program also offers a computer training component as well as career assessments and various experience placement opportunities.
Career Opportunities
These are exploratory programs aimed at assisting students in identifying and researching realistic career goals and helping them in developing a plan of action to achieve short and long term employment and/or educational goals.
Student Profile
The student must be mature, motivated to learn and open to new ideas. Separate programs are offered for specific target groups.
Admissions Requirements
Regular Kwantlen admission requirements apply. In addition applicants should attend an information session and must have a personal interview with the instructor.
Funding
All Access Programs are tuition free. Assistance for registration fees and books are available to those who qualify.

Graduation
Upon successful completion of this program, students are awarded a Citation in Employment and Educational Access.
