As a psychology honours student, I had to engage in various stages of research and create my own experiment. The Research and Innovation Grant (SRIG) provided me with the opportunity to expand my sample size outside of KPU. Because of the grant, I was able to use this money to pay participants and collect data through an online platform where participants were located globally. The diverse and large sample size was a contributing factor in obtaining significant results in my study—if I had a limited sample, I’m not sure I would have found significance. The SRIG is a great way to expand and diversify your research and I am thankful that KPU provided me with this opportunity.
