We're Hiring: Farm School Instructors (Plant Science & Soil Science)

The Farm Schools are looking for two new instructors to teach our part-time plant science and soil science courses. The Richmond and Tsawwassen Farm School Programs prepare people from all walks of life to engage in small-scale agriculture enterprises including production, processing, adding value, distribution, marketing and sales. The courses taught as part of the program are intended to help our students learn the sciences they need to make practical, ecologiclly-sound decisions in their future businesses. The successful candidate must have a BSc degree with a specialization in soil science or a related discipline. The candidate must demonstrate their ability to teach students with varying educational backgrounds the basic soil science knowledge that applies to a small-scale, sustainable agriculture. Practical experience in small-scale agriculture is an asset.
