KPU offers both short-term (daily) parking and long-term parking permits (monthly, semester, or annual) at all campuses. Long-term permits offer significant savings over daily rates and are managed entirely online — no physical permit to display.

KPU has partnered with Concord Parking for parking management across all campuses. Concord uses licence plate recognition (LPR) enforcement, so your permit is linked to your licence plate — nothing to print or hang on your mirror. Temporary daily parking is also available through PayByPhone.

Your responsibilities as a permit holder

Permit holders are responsible for managing their own accounts, including cancellations and licence plate updates.
Licence plates with outstanding violations cannot be registered or updated until all violations are paid.
Monthly permits renew automatically on the 1st of each month until cancelled. Semester and annual permits do not renew automatically.
To cancel, log into your Concord Parking account and set an end date on your permit.

Purchase a Parking Permit

How It Works

To purchase a parking permit you will need your vehicle licence plate number and a valid credit or debit card. Your permit is registered to your plate — there is nothing to print or display in your vehicle.

Parking permits are valid at KPU Surrey, KPU Richmond, KPU Langley, and KPU Tech (Cloverdale). Permits are not valid at Civic Plaza.

Permits are valid for non-reserved stalls during regular university hours Monday to Friday, and for reserved stalls after 4:00 pm Monday to Friday and anytime on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is first-come, first-served — purchasing a permit does not guarantee a stall.

Permit Details by Type

Monthly Permits The most flexible option — purchase anytime and park month to month. Renews automatically on the 1st of each month until you cancel.

Cancel before the 20th of the month to avoid charges for the following month.
Cancellations on or after the 20th are non-refundable.
Best for students with variable or unpredictable schedules.

Semester & Annual Permits Fixed-term permits that do not renew automatically — ideal for students who park consistently throughout a term or year.

Semester permits are available for Fall, Spring, or Summer individually.
Annual permits run September 1 to August 31 — the best value for full-year commuters.
Both become available one week before the relevant term starts.
Non-refundable in part or whole.

⚠ Monthly Permit Cancellation Deadline: Cancellations must be completed before the 20th of the month to prevent renewal for the following month. Monthly permits cancelled after the 20th will be charged in full and are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time through your Concord Parking account.
