Role of the Office of Research and Research Services (ORRS):

  • RESEARCH SERVICES AND ADMINISTRATION:

  1.  Assist KPU researchers in the preparation of proposals and related administrative aspects of sponsored projects.
  2. versee the negotiation, execution and administration of sponsored project grants and contracts from inception through to closeout.
  3. Work with faculty to identify funding options, create and implement research plans, develop project management metrics, and prepare project and accountability reports (e.g. workshops, peer-support & review, webinars etc.).
  • PROMOTING A CULTURE OF DISCOVERY & INNOVATION:

  1. Support research clusters.
  2. Build critical mass around research themes/areas.
  3. Encourage collaboration and partnerships.
  • TRANSLATING RESEARCH AND SCHOLARSHIP INTO ACTION:

  1. Showcase the KPU research community online/offline through various forms of knowledge mobilization and knowledge transfer strategies. (For example, compelling visual narratives, stories, achievements, and engagement opportunities in both curiosity-driven and applied research areas.)
