Job Description
We have been operating as a production brewery and brewpub in Squamish since 1996. This is a rare opportunity to lead the brewing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -
Wort production (brewing) on a 24HL 2 vessel Brewhouse with a solid fleet of tanks.
Managing and monitoring fermentations to include yeast management, dry hopping, and beer chemistry.
CIP operations of fermentation vessels and bright tanks.
Transferring beers from fermentation vessels to bright tanks and carbonating.
Sample collection, laboratory testing, equipment calibration, compiling and reporting results.
Conducting routine sensory analysis.
Managing purchasing of brewing related goods to ensure effective cost control.
Labor management and talent development will be a priority.
Inventory of all incoming raw materials and finished packaged products.
Kegging and packaging canned beer.
Overseeing the day to day aspects of a busy commercial brewery including recipe development.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum of 3 year's + experience in a commercial brewery with formal brewing accreditation as an asset.
Able to work full-time Monday - Friday 8:30-5PM.
WHMIS, Forklift, and First Aid certificates are assets.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
Detail oriented, organized and mechanically inclined.
A positive attitude with a desire to constantly learn, grow and develop within the company.
EKOS experience would be great.

Benefits:

Incentive plan will be part of the compensation package.
Pay Range : $60000-$70000 / year
