Alexander College (AC)
AC and KPU Partnership: Seamless Transfer Pathways from AC to KPU
In 2025, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and Alexander College (AC) signed a unilateral transfer agreement to support students who wish to transition from Alexander College programs into undergraduate studies at KPU. This agreement allows eligible AC students to receive transfer credit toward select KPU bachelor’s degree programs. Students can ladder from AC’s University Transfer or Associate Degree programs into KPU’s Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing programs (subject to admission and program requirements). This partnership creates a clear pathway for AC students to continue their academic journey at KPU, a fully accredited public university in British Columbia.
Student Pathways
KPU has mapped transfer credits for three academic streams to provide a convenient reference for students interested in transferring to KPU. The pathway is designed for students pursuing or who have completed an Associate of Arts Degree or Associate of Science Degree who are interested in laddering into a KPU program. All course equivalencies listed here have been processed through the BC Transfer Credit System and are detailed in the BC Transfer Guide as of the effective signatory date of this agreement.
• Please note that the course equivalencies outlined below are subject to change at any time, and it is recommended to always refer to the BC Transfer Guide for the most up-to-date information.
AC students who transfer to KPU will be required to fulfill all program specific curricular requirements as outlined in the University Calendar, as well as credential requirements as outlined in policy AC14 KPU Credential Framework. All AC students who transfer to KPU should meet with an academic advisor to develop an education plan to achieve their educational goals.
Health Science Stream
Students completing AC’s University Transfer courses in the Health Science stream may receive up to 59 transfer credits toward KPU’s Bachelor of Science, Major in Health Science. The following table illustrates the eligible transfer credit AC students may receive.
Upon transfer to KPU’s BSc, Major in Health Science, AC transfer students will be required to complete the following courses:
