Elizabeth Barnes
B.F.A. (Temple), M.F.A. (N. Carolina)Elizabeth Barnes (born in Harrisburg, PA) is a visual artist who lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia. She graduated from Tyler School of Art in 1990 with a BFA in Painting, and in 1993 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an MFA in Studio Arts. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and in Canada.
Barnes has taught at the University of North Carolina, Portland State University, Portland Community College, University of the Fraser Valley, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She is represented by Herringer Kiss Gallery in Calgary, Alberta and the Mary Tomas Gallery in Dallas, Texas. Her work can be found in private and public collections in Europe, the United States, and Canada, including the Canadian Office of Foreign Trade.
